We’ve recently wrapped up a major internal and external painting scheme across the North Region — a large, multi-site contract delivered over a 9-month period within the care sector.
The programme spanned a wide geographic area, with live sites ranging from Glasgow down to Leeds and everywhere in between.
Working in fully occupied care homes and residential settings brought a unique set of challenges — not just around logistics, but also in maintaining safety, housekeeping standards, and consistent communication with residents and staff.
Led by a dedicated Contracts Manager and Project Manager, we coordinated multiple teams of decorators across a fast-moving schedule. Daily site management, flexible resource planning, and close collaboration with client teams were key to keeping the programme moving.
The project was completed below budget and within a broadly successful timeframe — with plenty of lessons learned along the way. While there were some incidents that required reporting and review, these are being addressed transparently in a separate post focused on continuous improvement and safety culture.
